Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the best the series has felt in years. The game delivers excellent optimization, with consistent performance across dense cities and open-world environments. This technical polish supports a game that shines through its well-written dual protagonists—Naoe and Yasuke—both brought to life with phenomenal mo-cap performances and expressive cut-scenes that feel more cinematic than ever. The narrative is tighter, more focused, and emotionally grounded (agreed that the assassination trees are too much), making it a far more engaging story than Valhalla. Ignore the grifters farming outrage for clicks—Shadows is a confident, refined return to form for the franchise. It doesn’t just revive the Assassin’s Creed formula—it evolves it with elegance and purpose.

Please don’t get swayed by the online reviews of this game, try it yourself. I was reluctant on buying this, and since I was waiting for AC:Shadows, decided to give this one a shot, and instant gaming had it for a significant discount. I do not regret purchasing this games, and have put 20 hours in so far.
